The first thing is to mention that DewVPN is an old-gold application. Due to its ceased development, you will not get any further updates of the software. If you don’t have any problem with that, then you can surely follow our in-depth review to learn more!
Experience
First of all, the interface feels like something straight out of 2015. It’s not bad, but it surely feels a bit outdated and not so polished. However, the UI invites you to quickly get connected to a secure internet without throwing any ads or unnecessary pop-ups.
When I clicked on the Choose Location button, I instantly got numerous servers to choose from. That’s something I appreciate a lot because modern VPNs keep their best servers restricted for VIP/Pro members only. With DewVPN I could access all the servers without any limitations.
Right below the Choose Location button, there’s a VPN mode function as well which lets me select if I want all apps to use the VPN or specific apps only. Again, that’s another great feature that helps me a lot. I mainly use the browser to access different blocked sites while using other apps to download my necessary files.
So, with DewVPN, I could easily set VPN mode for the browser while removing the VPN access to other apps.
However, I didn’t find any extra functions to solidify my privacy other than some basic options.
Bottom Line
Overall, it suffices to say that DewVPN is not the best VPN on the market. But that does not take away the fact that DewVPN performs reasonably well for a free VPN. So, if you were thinking of using one, you should not hesitate to give it a chance!
